Sister Bay Restaurants Open In Winter

There is a plethora of great year-round restaurants, bars, and coffee shops right in our neighborhood. Sister Bay has proven to be Door County’s hot spot, and that continues even in the cold months. Most of these places are close enough to Open Hearth Lodge that you may even choose to walk and enjoy the crisp winter air before returning to your cozy suite at the Lodge.

Ephraim Restaurants Open In Winter

The picturesque village of Ephraim makes for a romantic winter evening with a beautiful view of Peninsula State Park beyond the iced-over harbor dotted with ice fishing shanties. You can’t go wrong with dinner at any of these establishments, and you’ll be back to warm and cozy Open Hearth Lodge within 10 minutes.

Ellison Bay Restaurants Open In Winter

A little off the beaten path of Door County and further up Hwy 42 is the sleepy town of Ellison Bay. With exciting new offerings and old favorites, casual and high-end, Ellison Bay does not disappoint, even in winter. Just over 10 minutes from Open Hearth Lodge.

Fish Creek Restaurants Open In Winter

Perhaps Sister Bay’s closest rival for the title of busiest place in Door County in summer, much of Fish Creek lays low for the winter. These great spots bucked the trend and are available for your winter enjoyment this year. Fifteen minutes south on Hwy 42 and you’re in the heart of Fish Creek.

Baileys Harbor Restaurants Open In winter

Everyone knows the Lake Michigan side of the county really feels the effects of Door County winter, but that doesn’t stop Baileys Harbor from continuing to be the county’s quirky new hot spot. Easy to get to by taking Country Lane past Open Hearth’s backyard and then hopping on Hwy 57 South, Baileys Harbor has several unique establishments only 15 minutes from our door.
